KÖKI Terminal - Concept Design

The unification of the bus and metro terminal and the railway station in Köbánya was long overdue. CET Budapest Kft. and our office were asked by the developers to draw up a fresh concept as an alternative to the long running original concept plan to speed it up. The new plan had to deal with all the problems of local traffic, deliveries and parking as well.

The large complex (60.000 m2) incorporated several department stores, a multiplex cinema, a D.I.Y. store, P+R parking, rooftop offices and a covered town-square as well as a new enlarged bus terminal.

Our plan had a partial success: the original planning process was sped up and some of our design ideas made their way to the final plans…
